Good tool, some room for improvement

Pretty sure it's designed with researcher privacy in mind, especially for unpublished work. It's not like they're going to put your paper on the internet. It's just for your analysis within your account.

I don't think they do refunds for annual plans if you just change your mind. You'd have to check their policy but usually, those are final once you commit.

Afaik, annual subscriptions are generally non-refundable once activated, unless there's a specific issue. Best to try the free version or monthly first if you're unsure, if that's an option for premium.

Might be out of luck for a big sale outside of the seasonal peaks like November/January. They usually do annual plan discounts though, which is pretty much always available.

Check around September or May, those are usually peak times for deals, especially for students. Sometimes they have renewal discounts too if you've been a free user for a while.

It really depends on your workflow. SciSpace has a massive paper database which is super handy for discovery. Elicit is good too, but I found SciSpace's AI chat with papers more useful for my specific research questions. You can probably try both free versions to compare.
